Anatolian Kilim Aksaray/Niğde region
18th Century
Woven in two pieces
134 x 384 cm
This is a relatively early example of Aksaray/Niğde kilim , with a similar design on the two side of the border that can be read in two ways : either as pair of hands facing and opposing each other or as section of an endless pattern of off-set star shape polygons.
